Clean Air Day

What is Clean Air Day?

“Air pollution is real and harms the health of millions. But there are lots of simple things we can do to improve air quality and look after our own and other people’s health. Clean Air Day is a chance to find out more about air pollution, share information with friends and colleagues, and help make the air cleaner and healthier for everyone.”

Video Conferencing

The World Health Organisation (WHO) estimates that nine in ten people worldwide are breathing in highly polluted air. In fact, 91% of the world’s population lives in places where air quality exceeds WHO guideline limits. This is resulting in health conditions such as asthma, lung cancer and heart disease, as well as 4.2 million deaths every year as a result of exposure to outdoor air pollution

There are lots of small things you can do to reduce your pollution contribution such as; walking, cycling, using public transport, car sharing… and of course, utilising video conferencing to reduce travelling.

Businesses that offer video conferencing and remote working capabilities to their workers can massively reduce on their carbon footprint. Having the flexibility to offer remote working for your workforce decreases the amount of travel as employees can work from home and no longer have to travel to meetings, saving money, improving collaboration and communication, and increasing productivity and morale.

In this technological age, there are more tools available for staff members to remain connected, such as IM and video conferencing. Recent studies show that 87% of remote workers feel more connected using video conferencing. This is because video conferencing has revolutionised the world of technology, offering businesses a new dynamic platform to communicate with customers and fellow employees.

Don’t let pollution cloud your judgement. Contact Questmark to find out more on how you can benefit from structured meetings, improved communications and flexibility, and reduce your contribution to pollution by using video conferencing. Questmark have a dedicated team with a wealth of experience of helping businesses utilise video conferencing to their advantage.

The RSPB were looking for a service that could be used daily, for large groups and meetings along with speaking to external parties and shareholders. Looking to enhance their Green initiative and take the next step to ensure they received the very most out of their previous investments, they knew they needed to take things online.

Having supplied the RSPB with video conferencing systems previously, we were the first organisation they turned to with this need. After being shown how our platform worked with the systems they already had in place, including Skype for Business, they were very excited to implement it throughout their offices.

Of course, the RSPB is an environmentally friendly charity and so having the ability to save so much travel time, fuel and energy by not needing to travel to attend meetings means that they are better able to concentrate on what matters to their organisation, from the inside out; Conversation and the environment.
